Certificate 18 part 1

So feed back with your response to this piece by replying below

Scene 1 (of ...) Spies are everywhere

Swoosh…

Swoosh…

Was the sound of the fan as it sliced through the silence

Gettin’ caught in the act could lead to moment of violence

So many cameras in this war of surveillance

Just like Zanussi the appliance of science

Its 9 pm, he’s on the top floor office block

Executive level, where signs say confidential

Shouldn’t be there, but company’s too influential

Must be exposed, stop people being reverential

First up, check their value via networth

View the surveillance, by jacking to the network

Enter the code, clouded breath denotes cold

Exposure in files will allow the whistle blow

Tap tap keyboard, better copy data quick

U-S-B connection, too slow never slick

Should have used wireless, too tense didn’t think

Need to speed upload, before they trace the data link

Feeling kinda tired, could do with a coffee drink

Settle for some tablets, stimulate whilst on the brink

Ding-ding, that’s the sound of the elevator

Tenth - eleventh – someone’s gonna meet their maker…

Swoosh…

Swoosh…

Was the sound of the fan as it sliced through the silence

Gettin’ caught in the act could lead to moment of violence

So many cameras in this war of surveillance

Just like Zanussi the appliance of science

Sillouettes and whispers, giggles and smoochies

Drunken C-E-O has caught himself some coochie

Stumbles out the lift, hands spraying everywhere

Cupping, squeezing, plenty of heavy breathing

Frenzy of action detracts from espionage

As second girl appears, trois-a-ménage

Transfer completion, allows data key retrieval

Escape requires, daredevil moves like Knievel

Seventy floors up, crawls onto ledge of window

Most unwanted place, to lose your footing in though

Grabs the edge of ledge, can just about cling on

Star of this trek to boldly go beyond

Spiderman manoeuvres performed along scaffold

Last view of orgy as C-E-O unloads

Clambers onto rooftop in search of escape

Could do with tights 'S' on chest and a cape

Swoosh…

Swoosh…

Was the sound of the fan as it sliced through the silence

Gettin’ caught in the act could lead to moment of violence

So many cameras in this war of surveillance

Just like Zanussi the appliance of science

Running down fire escape trying to elude

Surveillance recording C-E-O being lewd

In the nude – with his brood…

Of chicks snorting charlie for a fix…

They ain’t got a clue these bunch of pricks

Of what’s going on within their midst

Balaclava clad he checks the ticks of the tock

On his wrist as he’s clocks camera clicks

He’s out in the street in the heat of the night

Dashing down alleys wiki-leaks to ignite

We’re not talking cables on spurious hype

More like sleaze on scandalous types

It’s 10pm, he can easily connect

Contacts are in place allow them to inspect

Files and information cross-reference and correct

Before they whistle blow on the president elect…

Swoosh…

Swoosh…

Was the sound of the fan as it sliced through the silence

Gettin’ caught in the act could lead to moment of violence

So many cameras in this war of surveillance

Just like Zanussi the appliance of science

Certificate 18 Invite

Hey peeps

So I'm creating this new concept album "Certificate 18" - it's going to be something different but with that Beyonder flavour, the idea is a series of pieces that will all join together to form scenes in a movie as it were (there's more but that's the basic premise).

I've been working on three of the pieces for a while now, and doing research,
but before I move the idea forward, over the next few weeks I'm posting up the work in progress and inviting YOU...THAT'S RIGHT YOU...to paricipate - with questions about each piece, ideas you might like explored, concepts or scenes you think should be included so with out disclosing too much more get yourself over to my blog www.dcosmicdotcom.blogspot.com/ read the first piece I've posted up "Spies are everywhere" and be part of the new Beyonder concept album.

Just do it!

Beyonder & Sunday Driver

Update:

I met up with Joel today, a lead member of the band Sunday Driver (www.sundaydriver.co.uk), a real alternative sci fi band (that fits very well in the steampunk mould ), I worked with the band a couple years back and they've grown in leaps and bounds. We spoke last year about doing another project, and it looks like we're going to make it happen, looking to develop a themed show around the bands new album, where I'm going to write some new commissioned work for the show (Beyonder meets Suday Driver), so look out for more updates later in the year, there will probably be some footage which of course will feature here and at www.dcosmic.com.

So stay tuned!

Learnalot.com - MATHS with a fun twist

OK people coming near to the end of my BETT write ups,

The site I've got for you today is Learnalot.com, this is a a site that makes maths fun by
taking it into the realm of practical applications and activities, what also enhances the stimulus for children is the fact that you can (if you want) see your performance in comparison to others all around the country as well as classmates, and work to improve your position.

There are a number of games on the site, each tailored to various themes and parts of the curriculum, currently covering KS3 and new KS2 games being added daily.

If you home school your children, or have a say about what tools your children or pupils use to learn their maths in the KS2 & KS3 age groups Learnalot.com is well worth a look.

Games-Ed - engaging education...

OK people

Today's insight from the BETT educational trade show is a website www.games-ed.co.uk
I spoke to a couple of people from the company that creates the Games Ed games, and I must say that I was impressed, as the game we looked at Sustainville was great fun, getting players to look at how to allocate scarce resources (funds) for a city/town and seeing how this affects the city in terms of employment, crime, environment, education, housing etc. looking at the different concerns there are in running a city. The game I played actually plays like Football Manager for any of you that have played that game you'll know how addictive it is. It in essence teaches about economics, geography, town planning, social issues amongst other things. If we had this in my geography lessons, it certainly would have been alot more fun, and initiated plenty of dicussions on how to best plan/ sustain a city.

For those of you who teach in this area or have contact with teachers in this field, this certainly would be worth taking a look.
